gee up

Opposite of whoa

Gee up is a command used to urge a horse to move forward or go faster, functioning much like "giddyup" in American English.

It's primarily British and Australian usage.

The phrase extends beyond horses to mean hurrying someone along or motivating them to action: Let's gee up the team before the deadline.

As a noun, a gee-up can be a prank or a bit of teasing meant to provoke a reaction.
