gasses up

Adds fuel before

Gasses up means to fill a vehicle's fuel tank: I need to gas up before the road trip.

By extension, it can mean to energize or hype someone up: The coach gassed up the team before the big game.

In slang, gassing someone up is to flatter them, sometimes excessively: Stop gassing me up—it wasn't that good.
