A front pocket is a pocket on the front of a garment, typically on pants or jeans.
The term often appears in contrast to back pockets, especially regarding where to carry a wallet: I switched to a front pocket wallet after getting pickpocketed.
Front pockets are considered more secure and better for posture than sitting on a back-pocket wallet.
