firehosed
Drenched with pressure
Firehosed describes being overwhelmed by a massive, forceful stream of something—usually information, criticism, or demands.
The image is of someone blasted by a fire hose, unable to process or respond effectively: I got firehosed with emails after the announcement, New hires get firehosed with policies on day one.
The term appears in discussions of propaganda tactics where audiences are flooded with so much conflicting information they give up trying to discern truth.
