finetune
Make small adjustments
Finetune means to make small, precise adjustments to optimize performance or results.
The term comes from adjusting radio dials to get the clearest signal, but now applies broadly: We need to finetune the budget before the meeting.
In machine learning, finetuning means taking a pre-trained model and training it further on specialized data.
Also spelled fine-tune.
