enflaming
Provoking strong emotions
Enflaming is a spelling variant of inflaming—to set on fire, arouse strong emotion, or worsen a condition.
The spelling with *en-* is less common but appears in older texts and occasionally in contemporary writing: His speech succeeded in enflaming the crowd.
Both forms function identically.
