domestic rabbit
Fluffy house bunny
A domestic rabbit is a rabbit bred and kept as a pet, for meat, fur, or show, descended from the European wild rabbit.
Unlike their wild ancestors, domestic rabbits come in dozens of breeds varying dramatically in size, ear shape, and coat type—from the compact Netherland Dwarf to the floppy-eared English Lop.
They cannot survive well if released into the wild, having lost many survival instincts through centuries of selective breeding.
