doctored images
Manipulated visual files
Doctored images are photographs or pictures that have been altered to deceive—removing people, adding elements, or manipulating details to misrepresent what was originally captured.
The term implies deliberate falsification rather than innocent editing: The campaign circulated doctored images of their opponent.
With modern software, doctoring has become easier to do and harder to detect.
