disaggregate
Split into components
To disaggregate is to separate something into its component parts—the opposite of aggregate.
Statistics are disaggregated to reveal patterns hidden in combined data: When we disaggregate the numbers by region, a different picture emerges.
The term appears often in research, policy analysis, and data science, where breaking down totals exposes meaningful differences among subgroups.
