difficile
Not easily done
Difficile is a French word meaning difficult, rarely used in English except in the medical term *Clostridioides difficile* (often shortened to *C. diff*)—a bacterium causing severe intestinal infection.
The phrase *enfant terrible* aside, difficile appears almost exclusively in clinical contexts: The patient tested positive for C. difficile.
