Dethawed is a nonstandard variant of thawed, often considered redundant since thaw already means to remove frost or return to an unfrozen state.
The *de-* prefix adds nothing—Let the chicken dethaw overnight means exactly what Let the chicken thaw means.
Despite criticism from usage guides, dethawed appears in casual speech, perhaps by analogy with defrost.
