delay start
Timer before activation
Delay start is a feature on appliances—dishwashers, washing machines, ovens, coffee makers—that lets you schedule when a cycle begins.
You load the machine, set the timer, and it starts automatically at the appointed hour: I set the delay start so the laundry would finish right when I got home.
Useful for taking advantage of off-peak electricity rates or having fresh coffee ready at dawn.
