declasse

Beneath one's station

Declassé describes someone or something that has fallen from a higher social class or status, or that lacks the refinement expected of elevated rank.

The term, borrowed from French, often carries a note of snobbish judgment: The once-elegant hotel had become rather declassé.

It can also describe behavior or taste considered beneath one's station: Wearing last season's fashions was utterly declassé in her circle.
