decked

Sent sprawling suddenly

Decked has two main senses.

To be decked is to be adorned or decorated: The halls were decked with holly.

In informal use, to deck someone is to knock them down with a punch: He decked the guy with one hit.

The past tense works both ways—festively decorated or flat on the ground.
