daylight bulb
Cool-toned artificial illumination
A daylight bulb is a light bulb designed to mimic natural daylight, typically producing a cool, bluish-white light rather than the warm yellow of traditional incandescent bulbs.
These bulbs are measured by color temperature—daylight bulbs usually range from 5000 to 6500 Kelvin.
They're popular for tasks requiring accurate color perception: I use a daylight bulb at my sewing table.
