daisy chaining
Connecting items consecutively
Daisy chaining is connecting devices in sequence, each linked to the next like flowers strung on a stem.
In electronics, monitors or drives daisy chain when one plugs into another rather than all connecting to a central hub: You can daisy chain up to four displays from one port.
The term extends to any sequential linking—passing tasks, responsibilities, or connections along a line.
