course outlines
Semester topic maps
Course outlines are documents summarizing what a class or training program will cover—topics, objectives, assignments, and schedule.
They give students a preview of expectations before or at the start of instruction: The course outline shows we'll spend three weeks on statistics.
In higher education, course outlines often overlap with syllabi, though outlines tend to be briefer and less detailed about policies.
