cospeciation
Host-parasite joint branching
Cospeciation is the simultaneous speciation of two organisms that depend on each other, such as a parasite and its host.
When the host species diverges into two, the parasite often does as well, producing parallel evolutionary trees: The matching family trees of lice and their primate hosts suggest ancient cospeciation.
