Remote game storage

Cloud saves are game progress files stored on remote servers rather than locally on a device.

This allows players to resume games across different machines or recover progress if hardware fails.

Most gaming platforms offer cloud saves as a feature: I logged into my Steam account on a new PC and my cloud saves synced automatically.

Also called cloud storage or cloud sync in gaming contexts.
