clear screen
Wipe the monitor
Clear screen is a command or action that erases all text and graphics from a computer display, returning it to an empty state.
The term dates to early computing when terminal screens filled with scrolling text and needed periodic clearing.
In command-line interfaces, commands like CLS (Windows) or clear (Unix) accomplish this: I typed clear screen to get rid of all that output.
