chest clip
Harness securing clasp
A chest clip is the plastic buckle on a child's car seat harness that fastens across the chest, holding the two shoulder straps together at the proper height—typically at armpit level.
The clip keeps the straps positioned correctly so they don't slip off the child's shoulders in a crash: Make sure the chest clip is at armpit level, not down on the belly.
