check-up
Routine medical visit
A check-up is a routine examination to assess condition or detect problems early.
Medical check-ups involve a doctor reviewing your health: I'm going in for my annual check-up.
The term extends to other inspections: a dental check-up, a car check-up.
Also spelled checkup.
