cheat engine
Game memory editor
Cheat Engine is software that modifies video games by scanning and altering values in a computer's memory—health points, currency, ammunition.
Players use it to make games easier or experiment outside intended boundaries: I used Cheat Engine to give myself unlimited gold.
The term sometimes extends to similar memory-editing tools.
Game developers and online services typically prohibit its use.
