chance games
Dice and cards
Games whose outcomes depend primarily on luck rather than skill.
The category includes dice games, roulette, slot machines, and lotteries—activities where random events determine winners and losers.
Chance games are heavily regulated because they're essentially gambling.
The term distinguishes these from strategy games like chess, though many games blend chance and skill.
