cash flow analysis
Liquidity assessment method
Cash flow analysis is the examination of money moving into and out of a business or investment over time.
It tracks when cash is received and when it's paid out, revealing whether an entity can meet its obligations, fund operations, or sustain growth.
Unlike profit measures, which include non-cash items, cash flow analysis shows actual liquidity: The cash flow analysis revealed they were profitable on paper but couldn't make payroll.
