buzzer system
Apartment building intercom
A buzzer system is an intercom arrangement in apartment buildings that allows residents to unlock the front door remotely for visitors.
A guest presses a button at the entrance, the resident answers via speaker or phone, and if satisfied, presses a button to release the door lock.
Just use the buzzer system when you get here and I'll let you in.
