A bunny boiler is an obsessive, vengeful woman who reacts dangerously to rejection—from the 1987 film *Fatal Attraction*, in which a spurned lover boils her ex's daughter's pet rabbit.
The term applies almost exclusively to women and carries misogynistic overtones, framing female anger at mistreatment as psychotic: His friends warned him she was a bunny boiler.
