bungee cord fix
Stretchy strap solution
A bungee cord fix is a makeshift repair using elastic cords with hooks—the kind sold at hardware stores for securing cargo.
The term extends to any improvised, temporary solution that holds something together without properly fixing it: The screen door was a bungee cord fix until we could get a new hinge.
Like duct tape solutions, it implies resourcefulness but also impermanence.
