bopper

Bebop music fan

A bopper is someone who bops—originally a fan or performer of bebop jazz in the 1940s and 50s.

The term later shifted to mean someone who dances or moves energetically to pop music, especially in compounds like teenybopper.

A bopper can also be a thing that bops: a foam toy for hitting, or slang for a gun.
