bonnet dryer
Hood hair appliance
A bonnet dryer is a portable hair-drying device with a soft hood that fits over the head, connected by a hose to a heating unit.
The bonnet traps warm air around hair set in rollers or curlers: She sat under the bonnet dryer reading magazines while her perm set.
Once common in homes and salons, they've been largely replaced by handheld blow dryers.
