blade angle
Propeller tilt measurement
Blade angle is the angle at which a blade is set relative to its plane of rotation or direction of movement.
In aviation, propeller blade angle determines how much air each revolution bites into—a steeper angle for cruising, a shallower one for takeoff.
The term applies similarly to helicopter rotors, turbine blades, fan blades, and ice skates, where the blade angle affects grip and turning.
Adjusting the blade angle improved fuel efficiency.
