bicentennial quarter
Drummer boy currency
A bicentennial quarter is a U.S. quarter dollar minted in 1975–1976 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of American independence.
It features a colonial drummer on the reverse instead of the standard eagle design, with the dual date "1776–1976." Though produced in large quantities and still in circulation, bicentennial quarters attract casual collectors: I found a bicentennial quarter in my change.
