bee tree
Wild hive home
A bee tree is a hollow tree where wild bees have established a colony.
Traditionally, finding a bee tree meant a source of wild honey: He followed the bees back to their bee tree.
The term sometimes refers specifically to the American basswood, whose flowers attract bees in great numbers.
