bed quilt
Padded sleeping cover
A bed quilt is a warm bedcover made of two layers of fabric with padding between them, stitched together in decorative patterns.
Quilts are traditionally handmade, often from pieced fabric scraps arranged in geometric designs: My grandmother's bed quilt took her three years to finish.
The term distinguishes quilts used as bedding from decorative wall quilts.
