barong
Leaf-shaped Philippine sword
A barong is a large, leaf-shaped knife or sword from the Philippines, traditionally used by the Moro people.
The blade is single-edged and curves to a wide, rounded tip, designed for close combat and cutting.
Barong also refers to a formal Filipino shirt, the barong tagalog—a lightweight, embroidered garment worn untucked over an undershirt, typically for special occasions: He wore a barong to the wedding.
