author biography
Novelist's life summary
An author biography is a short text describing a writer's background, credentials, and notable works, typically appearing on book jackets, at the end of articles, or on publisher websites.
These range from a single sentence to a paragraph, offering readers context about who wrote what they're reading.
The author biography mentioned her three previous novels and her MFA from Iowa.
Unlike a full biography, an author biography is a promotional snapshot rather than a comprehensive life account.
