astronaut wings
Orbital flight badge
Astronaut wings are badges awarded to individuals who have flown in space, worn on military uniforms or flight suits.
In the United States, NASA and the military award distinct versions—military astronaut wings go to armed forces personnel, while civilian astronauts receive a different design.
Commercial spaceflight companies now award their own versions to paying passengers and crew who reach the edge of space.
