aquarist
Fish tank hobbyist
An aquarist is someone who keeps and maintains aquariums, whether as a hobby or profession.
Home aquarists cultivate fish tanks ranging from simple goldfish bowls to elaborate reef systems.
Professional aquarists work at public aquariums, zoos, or research facilities, caring for marine and freshwater life: The aquarist monitored the tank's pH levels daily.
