air check
Recorded radio segment
An air check is a recording of a radio or television broadcast, typically made for archival, review, or legal purposes.
Radio personalities use air checks to evaluate their on-air performance or build demo reels: Send me your best air checks and I'll see about getting you an audition.
Stations may keep air checks to document what was broadcast in case of disputes.
