agency worker
Hired through intermediary
An agency worker is someone employed through a staffing agency rather than directly by the company where they work.
The agency handles payroll and benefits while the worker performs tasks at client businesses, often on temporary or flexible assignments: The warehouse relies heavily on agency workers during peak season.
Also called a temp or contract worker.
