adlibs
Goes off script
Adlibs are words or phrases spoken spontaneously, without preparation or script.
In performance contexts, actors or speakers adlib when they improvise lines rather than following what's written.
The term also applies to rap and hip-hop, where adlibs are the background exclamations, ad-libbed phrases, and vocal flourishes that punctuate verses—things like yeah! , uh, or a rapper's signature catchphrase.
His adlibs kept the crowd hyped between verses.
