action cards
Game-changing plays
Action cards are cards in board games, card games, or trading card games that trigger specific effects when played—attacking an opponent, drawing additional cards, forcing a discard, or altering game rules.
Distinguished from character cards, resource cards, or static cards, action cards represent discrete moves a player can make: I played an action card that let me steal two coins from each opponent.
