Won
Seoul's official currency
Won is the past tense of win, used to describe a completed victory or achievement.
In Korean currency, won refers to the monetary unit of South Korea (₩) and North Korea (₩), derived from the Chinese yuan and Japanese yen.
The South Korean won was reintroduced in 1962, replacing the hwan, and is subdivided into 100 jeon, though jeon is rarely used in practice.
She won the race by a wide margin.
