Wendy houses
Children's garden shelters
A Wendy house is a small playhouse for children, typically a miniature structure resembling a cottage where kids can play at keeping house.
The term comes from the house built for Wendy in J.M.
Barrie's *Peter Pan*.
Common in British English; Americans more often say playhouse: The garden had a little Wendy house where the children spent hours pretending to run a shop.
