United Nations forces
International military coalition
United Nations forces are military personnel contributed by member nations and deployed under UN authority for peacekeeping, humanitarian protection, or enforcement of Security Council resolutions.
Often called UN peacekeepers or blue helmets for their distinctive headgear, these troops monitor ceasefires, protect civilians, and maintain buffer zones in conflict areas: United Nations forces were stationed along the border.
