U-shaped kitchen
Three-walled cooking layout
A U-shaped kitchen is a layout where cabinets and countertops line three walls, forming a U.
This arrangement maximizes storage and workspace while keeping everything within easy reach.
The design works well in medium to large kitchens and naturally creates distinct zones for cooking, prep, and cleanup: We chose a U-shaped kitchen so two people could work without bumping into each other.
