Sunday Night Football
NBC's weekly game
Sunday Night Football is the weekly primetime NFL broadcast airing Sunday evenings during the regular season, typically the marquee matchup of the week.
The term has become shorthand for appointment television and the ritual of gathering to watch: We're having people over for Sunday Night Football.
It marks the unofficial end of the football-watching weekend.
