Rube
Unsophisticated rural person
A rube is an unsophisticated person, especially one from a rural area who is easily fooled or impressed.
The word carries condescension—rubes are marks for con artists, tourists who fall for obvious traps, newcomers who don't know how things work: The carnival barkers could spot a rube a mile away. (Capitalized Rube is a given name.)
