Nasrid dynasty

Alhambra palace builders

The Nasrid dynasty ruled the Emirate of Granada from 1232 to 1492, the last Muslim state in the Iberian Peninsula.

The Nasrids built the Alhambra palace complex, their most enduring legacy.

The dynasty ended when Muhammad XII surrendered Granada to Ferdinand and Isabella, completing the Christian Reconquista of Spain.
