NWSL
American women's league
NWSL is the National Women's Soccer League, the top professional women's soccer league in the United States.
Founded in 2012, it succeeded earlier leagues that had folded due to financial difficulties.
The league has grown significantly alongside rising interest in women's professional sports, with teams in major U.S. cities and increasing television coverage and attendance.
